Our Weekend

Anna started Saturday morning by helping Cody rebuild some of her playground set. She was quite the helper.
Wow, watch out... I wouldn't get in her way. Saturday afternoon we went to Jaxson's baptism which was wonderful. I don't have pictures because I didn't take my camera to it!
Saturday night we went to an Easter egg hunt at Grandma and Grandpa Harwood's; the kids loved and they got some fun things.
Jake fell asleep on the way home from the Easter Egg hunt, very busy day.
Easter Sunday and kids ready for church. This was the only picture out of about 20 where both of them were looking at me AND smiling at the same time. Jake did not want to hold still. It was a great weekend and we are so excited for the warm weather!

Happy Easter!!!

Today we decorated Easter eggs. Since I've never done this before with Anna, it was pretty fun for her. She was asking me all morning if the eggs were done boiling and then when were they going to be cold enough!?!?! She loved it, especially putting stickers on them; we'll see how long they stick. This was daring - after we got started I realized I should have put an apron or something over her, but she never did get any on her clothes (which is something I can't say because the second I got done telling her to be careful, the bowl of pink dye flips up and over and who does it land on? Me). I was pretty impressed so she got a cookie for being so good.
Such enthusiasm...wonder where he gets that from...
Oh, but of course, once he gets the box, happy day! Not quite smiling though. But he was making lots of noise!

Happy Easter everyone! We hope its a nice weekend for you!

Baby Steps

So I decided to put Jacob in the walker that Anna loved when she was trying to take her first steps and turns out he hates it. He likes it but he wants to do it by himself. It was very funny watching him just take off then crash into the chair, or the wall, or the fridge, or Anna. Learning to steer something like that can take some practice. He would get so mad that he would throw his head back, that must be a boy thing because Anna never did that!!!

Anna being the supportive sister and encouraging him along with kisses and loves.
So after a few minutes of some hard training, I took him and out and what does he do? He pulls himself up holding onto the walker and then starts walking! He loved walking next to it, just not in it. Stinker!!!! Whatever works I guess!

Our very own Cinderella

Today has been a very magical day - I have felt like I've been in Disneyland because of all the beautiful princesses I have seen (3 to be exact). Anna loves dressing up, as you all probably know, and today Cinderella seemed to be the top choice. After dressing up as Cinderella (note the accessories: crown, bracelet, necklace, purse and matching glass slippers that are not visable), we were able to be graced at the dinner table with Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella (with switched dresses). And of course a royal banquet would not be complete without the princess plate and fork. Little girls are so imaginative when dressing up; I need to stick a tape recorder in her purse so we can remember the things she says while "dancing with the prince" and "going to the ball".
Smiling for me, which took a lot of persuading because we were late for the ball!!!!!
Jake was kind enough to clap for Anna at the end of the twirling session she performed for us, not kidding, he really did clap!

Interesting...

My sister found these and emailed them to me. It makes me even more anxious for the movie to come out. I hope they make us proud! They are also on Stephenie's website with pictures of her with them as well.
