Mount Olympus Hike

Today Cody summited Mount Olympus, elevation at 9026 feet. He had a lot of fun and some of the hike was actual climbing on the rocks with hands and feet, so naturally, that is always a plus. This one is also in SL County, but not the highest. Another one bites the dust!

First Day of Preschool

Today is Anna's first day of preschool. She has been so excited to go! It was a very long morning waiting for 12:30 to come so we could go. I think she asked me about every 10 minutes if it was 12:30 yet. I can't believe she is already 4 years old and off to school.

Yeah, I totally cried. I know...I'm a baby. But come on, this is my first time too!
Here she is showing off her new backpack we got just for school because "she is SOOOO big!".

This is when I dropped her off at preschool. She did a great job not being scared or shy. I was the one who had to be shooed away by the teacher. We are excited to have our little girl growing up into such a cute one.

Olympic Addicts

Is anyone else sleep deprived because of the Olympics? We have been watching it every night since it started and love it. Anna gets to watch a little bit before bed and she is just as into it as we are.

Of course we have our favorites...
Swimming...those were some intense swims; how anyone can go that fast is beyond me.

Beach volleyball...kicked butt last night and won the GOLD!!!!!

Track...we have a very passionate track fan in our family so there is no way we miss these events.

Gymnastics...I think USA totally got ripped off on the their scores, but that's just me...and Cody agrees. Those girls are amazing though.

I'm not sure what we are going to do on Monday when there are no more Olympics to watch!

Here are some of the pictures we had taken of Anna since she turned 4.

And we had to have one updated with little brother...he wasn't cooperating with smiles this time. Last time Anna wouldn't smile and Jake was cheesing it the whole time. At least he's not crying I guess.

Happy Birthday Anna!!!

Sunday was Annalyn's 4th birthday! She had a great day opening her presents and playing with them. Everything was princess themed: the cake, balloons, and the presents. I can't believe she's 4 already!
She wanted a cake with purple and white frosting and while we were singing Happy Birthday to her, she blew the candles out after the first line in the song! We couldn't even finish singing the song because Cody and I were laughing so hard. We were not expecting her to do that, but she had been waiting all day for us to sing to her.

This is Anna when she was one year old. It still amazes me how much they change from year to year. She is a such sweet little girl and a wonderful big sister. We are so lucky to have her in our family.
