Cody loves to research hikes and fun things to go see in Utah and he found one for us to do with the kids. We drove down to central Utah to the San Rafael Swell area and found some really cool things.

We hiked to some petroglyphs on this huge wall; some of the drawings are really amazing.

Jake climbed on every rock he could run too faster than me.

We found these round rocks called "concretions" and they were everywhere. Some were on the mountain and some were just on the ground; circular rocks...I'd never seen that before. Here is Cody and Jake standing on one.

Anna standing on one...

Petroglyphs again...

Here are some more concretions on the mountain side; if you look close enough you can see the layer of them across the mountain.

Catching Jake...again.
More petroglyphs on a rock in a very weird spot.
Okay, is he not a boy or what? He tried picking up even bigger rocks than this! For being as little as he is, he's pretty tough!

It was so much fun and we loved exploring to find new things in literally the middle on nowhere!

AWESOME!! That looks like so much fun! That's so great that Cody has so much fun going hiking and will take the family sometimes! I bet the kids loved climbing. Hey, would you go to my blog and do what my newest post says? We are trying to get as many people as we can to vote for Lauryn for a contest we put her in. Tell anyone you know to go to it also! Thanks!
